Training Opportunities & Providers

Volunteers are strongly encouraged to take the following courses as preparation for any volunteer activities associated with these fuels clearing events:

• S-190 Intro to Fire Behavior 2023
• S-110 Basic Wildland Fire Orientation
• S-130 Firefighter Training (Online Component)

All of these courses are available on the Wildland Fire Learning Portal and are designed to help you better understand how fire science works and the rationale behind removing snags, “widow makers”, and other fuels. https://wildlandfirelearningportal.net/
